Greg’s Photography Show (2013)

Greg McIntyre retired after 40 years of reporting and editing at The Kamloops Sentinel, The Prince George Citizen, The Lethbridge and Calgary Heralds, and The Vancouver Province. He is a self-described camera nut who has been taking and developing photographs since elementary school.

He now lives in Langley, BC, and in 2013 he turned 70. After five years of retirement he finally had time to get into his darkroom to print up 100 of his favourite pictures. On Saturday August 10, 2013, we put them on display at the Vancouver Public Library, downtown branch.

Images of the event and the photo gallery can be found at Greg’sPictures.

Sara curated and produced the show in honour of her dad’s life-long loves of photography and community. The guest list included extended family, colleagues, neighbours and friends, and many of Greg’s photography subjects. The show also featured Greg’s favourite cameras, and photography books and magazines.
