Director: Sara McIntyre
Sara McIntyre is a storyfinder, communicator and filmmaker. She has learned the craft of storytelling through successful careers as an actress, singer, casting director (The Delicate Art of Parking), personal coach, producer, workshop facilitator for screenwriters (The Alibi Unplugged Script Reading Series), by serving as President of Women in Film & Television Vancouver, and in corporate communications. Her directorial debut was the award-winning, comedic short film, “My Father’s an Actor”, produced in 2004 through the Director’s Guild of Canada program, Crazy8s. Sara believes that storytelling is the single most powerful tool for creating a future worth living in. “Two Indians Talking” marks her debut as a feature film director.
Writer: Andrew Genaille
Andrew Genaille’s script “Clean Fight” was granted sponsorship by CHUM Television and then filmed as a television series pilot for Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN). Short films such as “The Great White Bear Baiter”, and “The Girl in the Red Make-Up” not only prominently feature his First Nations heritage but also showcase his trademark, stinging cross-cultural wit. Andrew wrote the Kitchen Sink / Brightlight / CHUM co-production, “Johnny Tootall”. This feature film, directed by Shirley Cheechoo, screened at the ImagineNATIVE Film Festival, premiered in Toronto, and was awarded Best Film at the 30th edition of San Francisco’s American Indian Film Festival. Recently, Andrew has completed work on “Back in the Day, On the Mighty Fraser”, a six-part documentary series for APTN.
